Tour Diary- August 3-6, 2000
Pollo Del Mar embarked on a 5 show, 4 day road trip. We love getting out of San Francisco, we love meeting new people and drinking their beer! Here are some pictures from the road. If you have some photos from our shows, please send them so we can add to the page.
Sunday- We are pretty exhausted at this point. We make it down to San Pedro at 3 for the Surfer Stomp 2000, so we missed Splashback, and The Neptunas. We saw The Neptunes, The Boardwalkers, Spy Fi, then it was our turn. We had a great time and got some dancing going. After us were the Torquays-- great red striped matching shirts and I really dug it when Steve Soest brought out the 7 string Danelectro. Old friend Bernard Yin dropped by and it was great to see him. Had to leave before The Deoras came on... just in time to get stuck in bad LA Dodger (they deserve to be in third place) traffic. I made it home at 4AM. Special thanks to Pam Neptuna for putting this show together!
It was great to hook up with so many instro fans in SoCal. They have a great scene down there, and we can't wait to go back. Thanks to Jamie Murray for setting up the merch tables at the Acid Beach Party and the Surfer Stomp.
