Tour Diary- August 3-6, 2000

Pollo Del Mar embarked on a 5 show, 4 day road trip to SoCal. We love getting out of San Francisco, we love meeting new people and drinking their beer! Here are some pictures from the road. If you have photos from these shows, please send 'em so we can add to the page.

The whole tour came together unexpectedly. We had originally blocked out August as a no gig month as our drummer was due with a baby. As the great gigs started lining up, I just couldn't say no, so we got our regular fill-in drummer, Jeremy Rexford, for the tour.

Last thursday we found ourselves in Fresno courtesy of Tom and The Neptunes (the worlds only 3 peice quintet!). 100 degree heat, great dinner, cool club and yes, we met The Duke. Sparse crowd, but Club Fred is a cool roadhouse and I'd like to go back. Making his first appearance was Matt Kora and the nice couple from San Jose who would follow us to every stop on our tour! Wow. Thanks Tom for putting us on the bill!

Our first show is in Fresno at the Club Fred. While the sign outside say "Club Fed" you shouldn't confuse it with the Corcoran Penal Facility, less than 50 miles from Fresno.

Club Fred is in the Tower District of Fresno. this is the tower in "Tower District. Incidentally, Club Fred is our 100th show as a band, so it seem appropriate that the temperature is 100 degrees in Fresno.

Our hosts in Fresno, THE NEPTUNES. (The world's only three piece Quintet!)

Our hero, Tom.
